Correspondence chess is looked down upon by many over the board players. The ICCF or International Correspondence Chess Federation (recognized by FIDE), decided to allow engine use due to problems inherent with online cheating.
Do people use engines in correspondence chess?
For Lichess, Chess.com, and Chess World (online servers), and USCF (by post) the rules state that you may use opening references and databases, but never an engine, tablebase or the assistance of another player.
Can you use engines in daily chess?

Why was there a problem with correspondence chess?

Consulting opening and endgame materials has always been acceptable during correspondence chess. As opening materials evolved from books to opening databases, this practice has now become the norm.
Is it legal to spar outside in Oklahoma?
As for sparring outside its doubtful that its illegal anywhere although police may be called. Here in Oklahoma, USA and some other states its even perfectly legal for 2 people to agree to a fight and step outside and go at it depending on local laws. 25 insanely cool gadgets selling out quickly in 2020.

But our schools (Kali, Ving Tsun) sparred openly in the parks where we first began. Quarterly, those of us who can make it hold an organized event The Houston Stickfighting Assoc. ( We call it …..wait for it…..The Gathering….pretty cool,huh?) where we essentially whoop and wallop each other silly wherever we can (in parks, when feasible).
