A nether portal cannot be built horizontally like an end portal. Once a frame is constructed, it is activated by fire placed inside the frame. Nether portals can be activated only in the Overworld or the Nether. They cannot be activated in the End and customized dimensions.
What happens if you make a portal in the end?
The End Portal gives you direct access to “The End,” the dark dimension where the dragon lives. If you’re playing in Survival or Hardcore mode, you’ll need to find a broken End Portal underground and repair it using Eyes of Ender. In Creative mode, you can just build one using materials from your infinite inventory.
