While dismounted, the steed takes part in combat as a normal creatures would and: When a monster takes its action, it can choose from the options in the Actions section of its stat block or use one of the actions available to all creatures, such as the Dash or Hide action. Can horses Dash dnd?
A riding horse has a speed of 60 ft. and it can take a Dash, Disengage, or Dodge action without using any of your character’s action economy. This means that you can travel up to 120 ft. per turn when ordering your horse to take the Dash action.

Can a rider Dodge and attack at the same time?
The Charger feat allows the rider to control the mount and still attack with a bonus action if they Dash. Normal riders can’t Dash, Dodge, or Disengage with a mount and still Attack, but riders with the Charger feat can Dash and make an attack as a bonus action, but can’t Dodge and make an attack.
What happens when you take the Dodge action?
When you take the Dodge action, you focus entirely on avoiding attacks. Until the start of your next turn, any attack roll made against you has disadvantage if you can see the attacker, and you make Dexterity saving throws with advantage. You lose this benefit if you are incapacitated or if your speed drops to 0.
Can a mount move, Dodge and attack on its own?
If you control the mount, the mount acts on your turn in initiative, and you cannot take any actions on your own, you can only direct the mount to Dash, Dodge, or Disengage.
Can you move and Dodge at the same time?
