Would a Wizard/Alchemist be able to use Scribe Scroll to create Scrolls of Extracts he knows? Nope. Scrolls are Spell Completion items. Magic Item Creation says you cannot create potions, spell-trigger, or spell-completion magic items without meeting their spell prerequisites.
Is alchemy magic and science?
Alchemy is neither magic nor science. These are both very common misconceptions. Alchemy can be mistaken for Magic because both Alchemy and ‘pagan’ beliefs like Druidism use similar ingredients at one point or another.
Can a Alchemist study a wizard’s spell book?
An alchemist can also add formulae to his book just like a wizard adds spells to his spellbook, using the same costs, pages, and time requirements. An alchemist can study a wizard’s spellbook to learn any formula that is equivalent to a spell the spellbook contains. A wizard, however, cannot learn spells from a formula book.
Can a Alchemist make an extract of a spell?
Extracts cannot be made from spells that have focus requirements (alchemist extracts that duplicate divine spells never have a divine focus requirement). An alchemist can prepare an extract of any formula he knows. To learn or use an extract, an alchemist must have a Wisdom score equal to at least 10 + the extract’s level.
How does The Alchemist and alchemy craft work?
Pick a spell or formula to make into a potion. Pay half the base price in materials. The base price is Spell Level x Caster Level x 50 gp. Dedicate 2 hours if the base price is less than 250 gp, or 8 hours for every 1,000 gp (minimum 8 hours). Make a Spellcraft or Craft (alchemy) check against a DC of 5 + Caster Level.
Do you get polymorph spells as an alchemist?
Alchemists notably gain access to all of the same polymorph spells which Sorcerers and Wizards get (up to 6th-level, that is), which is an exciting option when combined with Mutagen. Be sure to read my Practical Guide to Polymorph if you plan to make use of Polymorph spells.
