The magic items you can replicate an increase in power as you level up. And while most Artificers can only swap out Infusions known after they level up, I wouldn’t be surprised if some DMs or Players experiment with allowing them to swap out a single Infusion for one of the same “level” at the end of a Long Rest.
How does artificer infusion work?
Artificer infusions are applied to nonmagical items and turn them into magical items. At the end of a long rest, you can touch as many nonmagical items as you can apply infusions to. That gives them the infusions you want to give, but make sure they’re in your possession!
How many times can you replicate a magic item?
As the Infuse Item feature points out, “each of your infusions can be in only one object at a time.” That means you can’t create two instances of the same magic item.
What happens when you use an artificer infusion?
If you load no ammunition in the weapon, it produces its own, automatically creating one piece of magic ammunition when you make a ranged attack with it. The ammunition created by the weapon vanishes the instant after it hits or misses a target. Using this infusion, you replicate a particular magic item.
What happens to a net with the returning weapon?
Lets put these together simply; An artificer makes a ranged attack with a net and hits, the creature hit by the net is restrained until it is freed, the net immediately returns to the artificer’s hand. The restrained creature remains in place, no forced movement is inferred from the net or artificer infusion rules.
How does the artificer’s reloading weapon work in DND?
The Reload property of the Firearms, while included in the Gunslinger’s description, refers to items (weapons) and as such you could argue it’s not part of the class itself. The Artificer’s infusion allows the creation of a magic item so you’d be effectively using a different item with different properties.
How does repeating shot infusion work in RuneScape?
This magic weapon grants a +1 bonus to attack and damage rolls made with it when it’s used to make a ranged attack, and it ignores the loading property if it has it. The weapon requires no ammunition; it magically produces one piece of ammunition each time you make a ranged attack with it, unless you manually load it.
