Artificer: You can only infuse a non-magical item. Arcane Firearm doesn’t prohibit or require using a magic item.
How does replicate magic items work?
Replicate Magic Item is an infusion. If you put that infusion into an item, that object is now a magic item bearing one of your infusions. You can therefore use that item as a spell casting focus. #DnD.

Each Artificer has the ability to infuse a mundane item with magical properties. This represents you creating temporary magitech items that you–or one of your allies–can use. You learn a set number of “infusions” starting at four and ramping up by two every four levels until you hit 12 infusions known at 18th level.

Is it bad to use the artificer’s concentration?
On one hand, using the artificer’s concentration seems problematic. A player could unknowingly end the effects of an important spell on an ally by hijacking the artificer’s concentration. On the other hand, using the user’s concentration means the artificer can have multiple helpful effects active at one time, something no other class can do.
What happens when you replace an infusion in artificer?
Every level you get in Artificer, you can replace an infusion known with a new recipe. For example, say you’re exploring and you know the infusion for a magic armor with a +1 bonus.
How many Tridents can an artificer infuse at a time?
