Can a monster have both sight and blindsight?
Every monster in the MM that has blindsight but no sight is immune to the blinded condition, but blinding them would be completely pointless anyways. Can a creature with blindsense still attack an opponent?
Any opponent the creature cannot see still has total concealment against the creature with blindsense, and the creature still has the normal miss chance when attacking foes that have concealment. Visibility still affects the movement of a creature with blindsense.
Can a creature avert its eyes to avoid a saving throw?
Unless surprised, a creature can avert its eyes to avoid the saving throw at the start of its turn. If the creature does so, it can’t see the medusa until the start of its next turn, when it can avert its eyes again. If the creature looks at the medusa in the meantime, it must immediately make the save.
