A druid can only transform into a beast using their Wild Shape feature, and even then can only take the form of a beast they’ve seen before. As a DM, you should work directly with your druid player to determine what beast shapes they know.
Can Druids turn into magical creatures?

Dryad’s Gift. For a conservationist druid in 5E D&D this is the ultimate weapon. The longbow transforms ordinary branches into arrows when drawn, which then resume being branches after striking. There’s some other neat thematic features too. Dryad’s Gift impressed me enough to take this spot as well. Druids with longbows sounds really cool to me.
