The good news: it’ll work on Windows 10. As arstechnica points out, much of the Myst series is already available for Windows 10 — only Myst III and IV had never been updated for compatibility, as the rights were held by a different publisher.

Then just start ScummVM, direct it to open that folder with the DAT files in it, check ‘Full Screen’ if desired, and start the game using the ScummVM menu. Once the game has started, just press ‘F5’ to call up the save/load/etc menu. Runs like a charm. Now in 2019, this method still works! I loaded from original 1995 disc.

Myst is especially egregious because it looks like it’s running in 640×480, which is significantly smaller than my monitor’s native resolution. Is there any way to play Myst in a window? Why is Myst V not running in Windows 10?
I’m receiving the same error mistake. Is it perhaps the reason that my notebook isn’t correctly set, so the program will run properly, or display card (video card) isn’t appropriate.
