The Sims 4 on Steam purchases won’t transfer over from Origin, but its DLC will. The Sims 4 is now on Steam, and you can bring the content you already own on Origin with you – with one important caveat.

As said above, if you want to play Sims 4 through Steam, you need to buy a copy of the base game in Steam. Once you do that, you’ll need to uninstall the Origin version of the game, install the Steam one, and then download your packs through Origin. I don’t work for EA.

How to download The Sims 4 origin DLC?
Now that steam has the DLC packs in its directory, we need to “Repair” the content. Go into your Origin browser and look for the Sims 4 Game Icon with Steam on it and click it. Now click on the Settings icon beneath the play button and choose “Repair” Once you click that, steam will open and start downloading an update for The Sims 4.

Yes you can. I did so with a couple EPs. You will have to but the base game on steam too, it wont let you buy DLC without owning the base game (you don’t even have to download it just need to own it). Still a great deal anyway. But Origin will let you register the steam codes and play there.
