Magic Missile already has a cantrip counterpart: Eldritch Blast. In all seriousness, I don’t think that an auto-hit cantrip fits with 5e’s idea of balance. If you must have one, don’t make it do force damage, make it do a commonly resisted/immune damage type like fire or cold damage.
