The ranger can no longer cast replaced spells. This means that when a ranger chooses to replace one of the spells they know when they gain a level, they no longer know the old spell, and can’t cast it at all. They can’t change the spells they know again until they gain another level.

So yeah, using suggestion to suggest you attack an ally is totally reasonable, as long as a pretext is given. However, it is up to you to determine how you attack your ally. I had some manner of Fey creature once suggest that my ally had wronged me, and that I needed to attack them.
