You have to start and complete your regular Attack action before you can do your Bonus Action offhand attack. As a matter of fact, there is. The rules use plain language and only allow you to do what they say you can do. There’s no general rule saying you can split up Extra Attacks, so you can’t.
Can you attack with both hands in 5e?
Two weapon fighting works differently in 5e than it has in previous editions. By default, you have to use light weapons in both hands. You can then take your action to make a normal melee attack(s) with one weapon, and then use your bonus action to make an additional attack with your other weapon.

Can a rogue use an offhand attack or cunning action?
The Rogue can use either Cunning Action, or an offhand attack, but not both. Having the Cunning Action class feature does not prevent the Rogue from choosing other bonus actions instead. So the Bonus Action rule: You otherwise don’t have a bonus action to take.
