Cantrips. A cantrip is a spell that can be cast at will, without using a spell slot and without being prepared in advance. So the normal rule applies: if you cast any spell – cantrip or not – as a Bonus Action, you can cast another spell on the same turn only if it’s a cantrip with a casting time of one Action.
Can you cast a spell with your action and bonus action?

No, you can’t cast a “bonus action” spell as an action. PHB page 202, under “Casting Time” (emphasis mine): Bonus Action A spell cast with a bonus action is especially swift. You must use a bonus action on your turn to cast the spell, provided you haven’t already taken a bonus action this turn.
Can you cast two non Cantrip spells in a turn?
Unless you use action surge you CAN’T cast two non-cantrip spells in a turn. Pretty straight forward. The only complicated part is that a bonus action cantrip or non-cantrip spell can only be combined with a cantrip using a cast a spell action.
Can a bonus action be taken on the same turn as an action?
In fact any Bonus Action Spell can also be taken on the same turn as any Action, as long as it isn’t a Spell. Attack, Dodge, Help, Dash, ect, just not a second spell. It’s pretty common to use a Bonus Action Spell that affects your attacks and then take the Attack Action. as long as it’s a non-cantrip spell.
