You cannot cast two cantrips during one action. That’s why many cantrips scale as you level. To further explain what you read, if you cast a spell as a bonus action, you can only use your action to cast a cantrip.
Can multiple people cast guidance?
No, you can’t add the bonuses together. According to Sage Advice, game features (class features, spells, etc) with the same name don’t stack with each other. So no. Casting bless twice at the same PC won’t let them have 2 rolls.
Does guidance work on attack rolls?
No, the hex spell’s description says it affects ability checks that use the chosen ability. The description says nothing about affecting attack rolls or saving throws. In combat, the spell provides some extra necrotic damage.
How many Cantrips Can you cast per round?
Yes, you can cast more than one spell per turn/round. The only specific restriction is that if you cast a spell as a bonus action, you can’t cast a non-cantrip spell during your turn. Cast a spell as a bonus action, then cast a cantrip as your action or reaction.
Is DND resistance good?
Most people don’t take resistance because it has little value in combat. 1d4 to a saving throw just isn’t worth spending an action. However, resistance has plenty of utility outside of combat.
When to use guidance Cantrip for every roll?
Plan your rolls. Every roll should have a very good reason, else drop it. And then you can decide, in the current situation, if it is possible/feasible to use Guidance and/or Help. In the end, if you put them in front of a closed door and there is no urgency, they should be able to pray to the gods and help each other.
What prevents a cleric from casting the guidance Cantrip for every roll?
\\$\\begingroup\\$I feel the need to point out that the statement “What prevents a cleric from casting the Guidance spell every single turn and having everyone have 1D4 extra for their rolls” isn’t how the spell works. The target of the spell is one (1) creature so only one player can benefit per casting.\\$\\endgroup\\$– SteveDec 16 ’20 at 0:55
Can you cast guidance Cantrip on the same target?
Seems a bit broken mechanic without some houseruling that prevents the same spell on the same target for some time, or I am missing some rule that prevents this?
