A powerful creature who doesn’t want anyone to know it is polymorphed. Who would think to try to dispel true polymorph on a monster you didn’t know was polymorphed to begin with? I mean, it would be detected by detect magic a level 1 ritual spell, so it is not impossible.
Is true polymorph overpowered?
With this strategy I just found, the True Polymorph spell is COMPLETELY overpowered, and no sane DM would allow it if he wants his martial PCs to compete with his wizards and warlocks.
