There is nothing unbalancing or unreasonable about eating multiple goodberries in succession to heal. It’s very much part of the intended design of the spell.

You eat only one goodberry at a time (1 action = 1 goodberry).
How much does goodberry heal?
Saying that Goodberry still produces 10 berries, but each one does 4 points of healing now …. that means a 1st level spell is doing 40 healing. It’s also a 300% increase in the power of the spell, which goes against the design principles of how the game works imho.
Does goodberry stack?
It might be simpler to treat Goodberry like any other spell that creates a resource or an effect: don’t let it stack. If your caster creates ten berries, those berries are good until 24 hours pass, or you use the spell again to create more goodberries. This sort of wording is found in many other spells and abilities.
Is eating a bonus action?
The distinction is whether eating a Goodberry (or drinking a potion) counts as “use an object” or “use a magic item”. The thief’s Fast Hands ability allows the thief to “use an object” as a bonus action, but not “use a magic item”.
How long does goodberry last?
Eating a berry restores 1 hit point, and the berry provides enough nourishment to sustain a creature for one day. The berries lose their potency if they have not been consumed within 24 hours of the casting of this spell.
How long do good berries last?
Berries will stay fresh for about 5 days when stored at temperatures between 36° and 40°F. Returning them to their original packaging after sorting is fine, but they’ll stay fresh longer if moved to a shallow container where they can be spread into a single layer instead of stacked; loosely cover with a clean towel.
Is using a potion an action or bonus action?
Homebrew Rule: drinking potions as an action means taking the maximum healing, but as a bonus action means you roll as usual. Pulling a potion would be free, but drinking one the same turn would take an action.
