Under normal circumstances, yes. It’s important to remember though that only Arcane spellcasters (warlock, wizard, sorcerer, bard) have a set number of spells that they know. Divine/nature casters (cleric, paladin, ranger , druid) “know” all of the spells for their class, and choose which to prepare each day.
