Adding a few levels of wizard to another class is often the premium choice. As for combining wizard/warlock… most builds built to take advantage of EB are sorcerer/warlock, or sorlock, builds. If you are unfamiliar with sorlock just search on the word in YouTube for about a million videos on it.
What’s the difference between a warlock and wizard?
Warlocks act as the male counterpart of the witch who’s almost always pictured as being female. A wizard can also be a male magic practitioner who practices alchemy. He makes use of spells or magic that seems to defy the laws of physics. Arguably, the warlocks use magic that is much more realistic than wizards.
Can wizards use Eldritch Blast?
The only legal way for a Wizard to have Eldritch Blast is through Magic Initiate or Spell Sniper, which means he will be even weaker in his primary class, having spent his ASI on a feat.
Can a warlock use a wizard spell slot?
His Spells known are his Wizard spells (as a 1st level Wizard) and his Warlock spells (as a 1st level Warlock). He can cast his spells known through either class through spell slots gained from either class. They’re interchangeable. You can use warlock slots to cast wizard spells and vice-versa.
Can a cleric cast spells with a warlock?
If you have only 2nd level spells from your Warlock class, you can’t cast those with your Cleric slots, because a level 2 Cleric has only 1st level spell slots. My interpretation was that Warlocks do not have slots that are level specific. The Warlock Table in the Class pages show what the slot level is at each Warlock level.
What do I need to multiclass as a warlock?
If you’re a Celestial warlock that wants to add a boost to healing, Light and Grave Domain are both decent – Grave Domain moreso, and depending on how supportive you want to be you could even add a second level. Two levels of War Domain add to the combat potency of any bladelock.
When to use pact magic as a warlock?
The other way around, you could use a 1st level Sorcerer slot to cast your Hex Warlock Spell. Or you could use your Pact Magic to cast the Hex spell at 3rd level (I think you get a longer duration at higher levels).
