Yes you can. When your pawn reaches the other side of the board then you can have it replaced by any piece that you want except for another pawn or king. There is no limit on the number of pieces of the same kind.

For the Queen, it is equivalent to nine pawns! Never thought having three pawns down will equal to losing an equivalent of a Knight or a Bishop.

They can also promote without limit to the number of the piece active on the board. Because of that, technically, each player can have nine queens, 10 rooks, 10 bishops, and 10 knights, although, in reality, that is nearly impossible to happen.
What to do if you lose a queen in your colony?
You could take some brood from the strong colony to help boost your weak colony. Or, you could lose a queen in one colony and they fail to make a new one. You can take eggs from your other colony to try and make your queenless colony queenright. Lastly, new beekeepers often lose their hives.
