To respec your character, all you need to do is visit the main NPC at the first area, talking with them, and you will have the option to respec your character. While this might be a negative for some old-school players, it is something they can simply not use if they do not want to.

From Patch 1.13, Diablo 2 players can now respec; there are two ways to perform a respecialization. The first such way is to complete the Den of Evil quest, granting one respec per difficulty completed in 1.13. If this quest is completed before 1.13, one free respec will be given to players on Hell difficulty.

Character Services —It is not possible to buy a Character Transfer, Faction Change, or any other service for a character that has been boosted in the past 72 hours. Customer Support cannot bypass this restriction.
Is there a way to reset quests in Oblivion?
The only real way to do this is to create a new character, and then cheat yourself with the same stats and items. I think there are some things which can be done with wyrebash, but the general idea is still the same.
What can you do with a character boost in Wow?
