Can you use a controller for Half-Life?

Any Steam game can be played with a controller using the Big Picture Mode. It’s the little controller icon at the top of the Steam client window. Both your XBOne and 360 controllers should work. You can really aim accurately with a controller compared to a mouse, and the game is built around the latter.

How do I map my gamepad?

Just run the app, press a button on your controller, then press a key on your keyboard, and repeat for each button you want to map. After that’s done, press the run button (it looks like a “>”) in the top right corner, and it should be good to go.

You can play HL2 with a controller no problem. Just check “enable gamepad” on the mouse tab in options. You might need to rebind the controls to whatever you feel is best though. As for Bioshock Infinite and Fallout, they both fully support the 360 controller too.

Can I play Half-Life with an Xbox controller?

Half-Life 2: Episode 2, Portal, Team Fortress 2, and Left 4 Dead have their own built-in configuration for the XBOX 360 controller. What is reWASD?

reWASD gives you full control of your Xbox, DualShock and Nintendo controllers. Combining various settings, you can assign several gamepad buttons to keyboard, mouse moves to stick directions and mouse clicks to left or right trigger. I personnaly use it for For Honor with an Xbox One controller and it is awesome!

How do I configure Keysticks?

You can start Keysticks by double-clicking the icon on your desktop, or by clicking Start and selecting All Programs – Keysticks….The menu buttons, from left to right, are:

1. Choose a profile.
2. Edit the current profile.
3. Open the program menu (also pictured)
4. Program options.
5. Open the help file.

Does Black Mesa have controller support?

The new UI doesn’t have controller support yet, it has no options to enable controller movement and bind controller buttons.
