In general, you can only use one metamagic, once, on any spell. You can use only one Metamagic option on a spell when you cast it, unless otherwise noted.
Is empowered spell worth it?
Empowered Spell at 1 point per die is incredibly expensive, and is basically never worth it. Extended Spell allowing to change 1-round spells into 2-round spells for three points is incredibly expensive, and doesn’t affect a lot of spells, which still makes it a very bad metamagic choice.
