Reactions. As some reactions can be taken on or outside your specific turn, such as Ready and Counterspell, others can be taken later or earlier in the round, such as Counterspell or Shield – a character is able to use Actions, Bonus Actions, and Reactions during the Initiative Round.
When can you take a reaction DND 5e?
When the trigger occurs, you can either take your Reaction right after the trigger finishes or ignore the trigger. Remember that you can take only one Reaction per round. When you ready a spell, you cast it as normal but hold its energy, which you release with your Reaction when the trigger occurs.
Can a character react to an action and take a reaction?
