The RAW answer is no. An image of a creature isn’t a creature, and certainly isn’t an enemy. Note that a Silent Image is pretty limited in what it can do; it doesn’t really move unless the caster uses their action, so it’s hard to see how any creature would perceive it as an “enemy”.
Can you attack with disguise self?

You can seem 1 foot shorter or taller and can appear thin, fat, or in between.
Can you use disguise self to camouflage?
You can make it looks like you wear any kind of clothes, so choosing a look that matches the color of your environment is absolutely fine. It’s up to the DM of course but I’d give some kind of bonus to your stealth roll. Sounds reasonable enough.
What are the limitations of disguise self?
You are only limited by height, body type, and arrangement of limbs. Thus you could easily make yourself appear to be a man instead of a woman, or an elf instead of a human, assuming you are within one foot of your original height.

In short: No. Silent Image creates an Object, Creature, or force, visualized by you. Light is neither Object, nor Creature.
Can you cast disguise self at a higher level?
One possibility is to increase the disguised size of disguise self, eg, 1 feet extra per level. Currently, the utility of disguise self is reduced for small races, since they can’t actually disguise as medium sized creatures. There isn’t a benefit to doing this.
Can you create darkness with silent image?
Silent Image probably does not create the same effect as Darkness.
How useful is silent image?
Silent Image * You know what, never mind. Moreso than Grease, Silent Image is the king of shenanigans at low-levels. This spell lets you create any image you can think of. It’s an instant wall your allies can shoot through, it’s a hiding place you can custom tailor to the surrounding terrain.
