While your followers can equip items that have Set Bonuses when wearing multiple items from that same set, the bonuses will not work on your follower. Your follower will still be able to take advantage of the actual stats that are on the item.
Does boon of the hoarder work on follower?
Boon of the Hoarder is a Legendary Gem in Diablo III. This gem will have no effect in Greater Rifts. It will also not trigger off of kills made by anyone other than the Nephalem hero who uses this gem, even their own followers.
