You DO NOT have to make a pact or sell your soul to have great left hand path powers. In fact, many people I consult with form relationships with their demon of choice without a blood pact. You just need to honor your demon. Get to know them.

Greed is a simple one – most demons will go for a chance to accrue personal power, freedom, worshipers or wealth. For a pact, that often means enacting some sort of sacrifice or ritual on a regular basis. In fiction, it’s quite common for a character to lose their life/soul/power when they fail to abide by the pact.
Can a demon talk to a human being?
Demons do not like to be outside of or detached from a human host. They cannot find rest when they are not on or in a person. Demons can think, they have a will, and they make plans and take deliberate actions. Demons can talk by using the vocal abilities of the person they have influence over.

In exchange for a soul, Crossroad Demon ‘s will grant humans any desire they wish. Once the exchange was completed, the demon usually would give the person ten years before they came to collect. It can be as little as one year (Dean’s deal) to as long as twenty-five years (Becky’s possible deal).
