Attacks into or out of Darkness without Devil’s Sight or Tremorsense or Blindsight all have disadvantage, unless there are other factors that the DM decides is appropriate to take account of. They are essentially hidden if they are in Darkness and if a creature is in Darkness then they are Blinded.
