Being invisible doesn’t have that issue. But, regular Invisibility, whether the spell or magic ring, is only good for one attack, then you’re visible. Unless you have Greater Invisibility… then you’re golden (except nobody can see that, because you’re invisible!
What happens when you use a disguise spell?
If you use this spell to appear thinner than you are, the hand of someone who reaches out to touch you would bump into you while it was seemingly still in midair. To discern that you are disguised, a creature can use its action to inspect your appearance and must succeed on an Intelligence ( Investigation) check against your spell save DC.
Why are attacks against someone in the circle at disadvantage?
Since those in the circle are “blinded”, all attacks against them would be at advantage. But since they can’t be seen, those attacks would also be at disadvantage. So being in the circle just makes attacks against you roll straight? And the rogue’s attacks against others in the darkness would also be a straight roll too, for the same reason. Right?
Which is worse, attacking twice or invisibility?
For a general attack, it is actually worse than attacking twice, because the chance to hit at least once remains the same, but with 2 attacks, you have a smaller chance to hit twice. But, in the case where you are combining that hit with another resource, it can be quite useful. Invisibility!
