Sleep’s hp total and (half-) elf targets My understanding of what happens: Half-elves are not immune to the spell Sleep, as the spell ignores only unconscious, undead, and immune-to-being-charmed creatures, of which half-elves are neither.

What are the advantages of being a half elf?
Thanks to your elf blood, you have superior vision in dark and dim conditions. You can see in dim light within 60 feet of you as if it were bright light, and in darkness as if it were dim light. You can’t discern color in darkness, only shades of gray. You have advantage on saving throws against being charmed, and magic can’t put you to sleep.
How are elves immune to the sleep spell?
So in that situation either the Elves are completely immune and the sleep spell entirely wallops the lone human, or they soak up some of the effectiveness of the sleep spell and their natural immunity makes the magic less effective. Sleep says “aren’t affected by this spell.”
