How does multi attack?
Multiattack is an action which grants multiple attacks, much like how a Level 5 fighter can make two attacks when they take the “Attack” action. However in both cases they only make a single attack if they make an opportunity attack or some other way of attacking that isn’t using their action on their turn.
Can You multiattack twice with the extra attack?
That means that not only do you not get two Multiattack s, but if you take the Multiattack action you don’t get a second attack from Extra Attack either, because only the Attack action triggers Extra Attack’s benefits.
When do you get the Extra Attack feature?
The Fighter’s Extra Attack feature says (PHB, pg. 72): Beginning at 5th level, you can attack twice, instead of once, whenever you take the Attack action on your turn. The number of attacks increases to three when you reach 11th level in this class and to four when you reach 20th level in this class.
How does extra attack work in DND 5e?
Extra Attack modifies the Attack action for Fighters (and other classes that receive the feature) so that they make two attacks – i.e. they “make an attack” twice (or more at later levels).
Can a warlock expand the Extra Attack feature?
Similarly, the warlock’s eldritch invocation Thirsting Blade doesn’t give you additional attacks if you also have Extra Attack.
