One of the best new class features is Finesse Training, which allows to choose a single finesseable weapon and use Dex instead of Str for the damage bonus at level 3. As above, this damage bonus is halved for the off-hand (though it is also increased to 1.5x for two-handed finesseable weapons, such as this one).

Does double slice work with finesse training?
I would note that double slice doesn’t usually work with weapon finesse anyways, because you are not using str with your daggers anyways…well, unless you have a understanding gm. But this methid of not working is…pretty bad, since double slice is actively suppressing dex to damage effect.

When do you not get Dex to damage rolls?
You wouldn’t get DEX to damage rolls if you use Two-Weapon Fighting, which is a different ability that lets you make an extra attack with a weapon in your off-hand. However, with Martial Arts and Flurry of Blows, you basically have no reason to ever use that. Doctor: “Doing this every morning can snap back sagging skin”.
When do monks add their Dex to damage rolls?
Yes. Whether as part of their normal bonus attack when unarmed or wielding a monk weapon or as part of a ‘flurry of blows’, monks apply their ability modifier (Strength or Dexterity) to their damage rolls. Is it good to dump STR for Dex?
This allows most of classes, including even some first-line fighters, to dump Str for Dex – you do not lose in attack rolls, only a little bit in damage rolls (there are no finesse two-handed weapons, but a rapier with d8 dmg is still pretty good), you gain a lot in AC, and as a bonus you have excellent ranged attacks.
