Does reputation matter outer worlds?
What affects reputation in The Outer Worlds? Reputation is affected by the decisions you make in-game when interacting with NPCs of one of several factions. If you have a positive reputation with a faction, then you’ll be friendly with the faction in question and can even get vendor prices reduced by up to 25%.
What comes after honored reputation?
Revered is the reputation level above Honored and below Exalted. It requires 21,000 points to reach Exalted from the time Revered is attained.
Can you reduce negative reputation in outer worlds?
One is by killing members of that faction. The second is by performing a crime and being caught (if you are not seen while doing the crime you won’t get negative reputation). The last one is by performing Quests that lower the reputation with that Faction.

What happens to your reputation when you change factions?

What can I do with my reputation points?
If you earn enough points with a faction you’ll get access to new quests, gear, clothes and horses. There are several levels of reputation that you can reach by earning reputation points with the different factions.
What happens when you convert to an allied faction?
Converting to or from an Allied Race—e.g. Highmountain Tauren or Lightforged Draenei—will have no effect on those reputation levels. Other faction-specific reputations convert into their cross-faction equivalents if one exists. Neutral reputations are not affected, except for Sunreavers and Silver Covenant, which revert to Neutral
What happens when you change your faction in BFA?
You should, yes. When you faction change the BfA reputations convert to the other faction equivalent but the story-lines do not. You are able to do all the zone stories from the other side. It should give you the rep from them as if you had leveled that faction normally.
