The Work Opportunity Tax Credit (WOTC) is a Federal tax credit available to employers for hiring individuals from certain targeted groups who have consistently faced significant barriers to employment.
Where can I get a WotC form in English?
WOTC forms are available in English, Spanish, and Russian versions. Forms are submitted to WOTC.com by email, fax, mail, or online. WOTC.com specialists submit these forms to the govt. agency with backup documentation to prove eligibility.
Who is entitled to the WotC tax credit?
If the business entity is a sole proprietorship, S-Corp, LLC, LLP or Partnership, the credit passes to the owner, shareholder, member or partner in the same manner as losses are allocated. In a C-Corp, the credits are used by the corporation.

The WOTC has two purposes: To promote the hiring of individuals who qualify as a member of a target group. To provide a federal tax credit to employers who hire these individuals. The Employment Development Department is the WOTC certifying agency for California employers.
Who is eligible for the PATH Act WotC?
For tax-exempt employers, the PATH Act retroactively allows them to claim the WOTC for qualified veterans who begin work for the employer after December 31, 2014 and before January 1, 2020. The PATH Act also added a new targeted group category to include qualified long-term unemployment recipients.
