Why do I get deserter for being kicked?
A player removed from a dungeon or raid through a vote-kick or disconnection may receive a Deserter debuff. This debuff prevents a character for queuing for whatever type of instance they were removed from. This can be a Battleground, Dungeon, or Raid. This debuff can only be removed by waiting out the timer.
Does deserter go away when logged out?
Yes. For a very long time now, the deserter debuff has paused while offline. It’s best to tab out logged in to let it fall off.
Can you queue arena with deserter?
It doesn’t affect arena : in case you can then tag on skirmishes or other type. if you left battleground, you can tag in PvE ( Leveling dungeon for example or M+ ).
Does deserter apply to RBGs?
You can do tol barad and arenas with this debuff, but you can not do RBGs.
Is there a penalty for leaving dungeons wow?
There is a 15 minute period at the start of the dungeon where if you leave, you get the 30 minute dungeon deserter debuff and sometimes it is being applied to people that are vote kicked too.
How do I stop deserter dungeon?
You see, you cannot recieve the Dungeon Deserter debuff when you are dead! Simply die, then right click your portrait and leave the group and wait a second. You should get a message that says “You cannot do that while dead”. Once you get that then you’re free to release and free of any nasty 15 minute deserter debuff.
