- Step 1: Empty your pockets of all items and carry minimal money (preferably no money).
- Step 2: Go do something where villagers cannot see you.
- Step 3: Get out of the water and Go walk around town in front of all your villagers that are outside.
How do you do public works projects in Animal Crossing?
To start a new building project, go to the town hall and sit in your mayor’s chair. Isabelle will come over and give you some options. Choose to build a public works project. Choose the new project option and Isabelle will show you a list of all of the possible projects that you can build.
Do Villagers donate Animal Crossing?
NPC Villagers will donate to projects. In my experience they may as well save their bells to randomly buy something off me because really, their help is nothing. You will at most save 1,000 bells on a public works project due to villager aid.
Are there public works projects in New Horizons?

Do Villagers donate to inclines?
After you place a bridge or incline, Lloid will appear, asking for donations to the new structure. Your villagers won’t contribute, so be prepared to pay for it on your own (or maybe with the help of other players on your island). You also cannot build and destroy a structure in the same day.

Projects can be canceled while under construction; discontinuing a project forfeits any donations put toward it up to that point. Upon the cancellation of a project, no further projects can be commissioned that same day. Demolishing a finished project requires paying a fee of 10% of the project’s original cost.

The Timer can be bought from a Nooking store that is T Mart or higher. Set the Timer to 5 minutes, and jump into the water. Swim as far out as you can, and wait until the timer stops. After that, go back to shore and find a villager.
