Need help with moving Skyrim to another drive.
- 1: In Steam, click Steam (upper left corner) and select Settings.
- 2: Click Downloads.
- 3: Click “Steam Library Folders”, followed by “Add Library Folder” and select to create a new folder on a new drive-letter.
- 4: Close this dialogue and ok your way out of settings-dialogue.
Can I Move MOD organizer to different drive?
Install Mod Organizer via the installer to the drive you want it to be on and then just copy the Mod Organizer folder (an actually copy-paste) from the drive it’s on now to the drive you just installed MO on.
Where are MO2 mods stored?
By default, in %localappdata%\ModOrganizer. You can double-check this in the MO2 settings. There’s also a handy folder icon in the top-center of the main MO2 window that will take you to important folders.

The only way to find out for sure is to experiment; try keeping your installed mods directory on your SSD and measure the relative load times while playing Skyrim. Speaking from personal experience, I noticed a significant performance increase by keeping my MO mod directory on my SSD. Your experience may differ.
Can you put Skyrim mods on a NAS?
Steam, Skyrim, and Mod Organizer with all installed mods are one of the SSDs (the other SSD is only for Mac OS stuff.) However, in the Advanced Options of MOthat Daysvala mentioned, I have set up my mod downloads folder to be on the NAS.
How big of a hard drive do I need for Skyrim?
Full Win7, Skyrim, CK, NMM, 40 or so mods, lots of save games used around 70GB. Boots and runs faster off the SSD than desktop hard drive. Near as I can tell, the NMMs don’t talk to each other. Steam doesn’t seem to care, same account number number on both installs, but they are never both active at the same time.
