In order to “liberate” a city originally belonging to an existing civilization, it would have to be puppeted or annexed and then gifted to its original owner. In Gods & Kings and Brave New World, you can liberate any captured city, whether or not its original owner has been eliminated.
Can you shoot down nukes in Civ 5?
If you’re already in war, you can still tactically snipe their uranium. You can either do that by darting a high-movement unit inside and pillage the uranium mine, or – if you have nukes of your own – just nuke in the vicinity of the uranium and hope it will get destroyed. Finally, you can counter with your own nukes.
Can you destroy a capital city in Civilization V?
Razing a city in Civ V (you cannot raze capitals or city states) completely removes it from the game, including any buildings or wonders it may have held. Any tile improvements remain (like mines, farms, etc.) you should be able to raise the capital city. its a lazy way to deal with where the palace ends up at.
How to get rid of a small Civ?
2) Declare War yourself (or wait to be declared War on) with that small Civ you want to get rid of, have some nearby City State military units that you are suzerain of (do NOT take control of them), and then try to help the City State units fight and defeat the military units and City that you want dead.
Can you wipe out all cities in Civ 5?
conquest taking control or wiping out all citys. it dosnt matter if your playing civ 5 or any other civ game coqnuest always requires same amount of time to take all citys. only differince was in civ5 it was more annoying you had to hold dam things for ever. Er, no. Domination in Civ V has replaced conquest.
Can a nuke take over a capital city?
All other military units will take over the city and give you the option to raze it (With the exception of a capitol). So those are your only two options for destroying cities. Not sure if nukes can destroy capitals as they don’t take over the city.
