How to Enter the Command
- Open the Chat Window. The easiest way to run a command in Minecraft is within the chat window.
- Type the Command. In this example, we will set the gamerule to keep inventory after dying with the following command: /gamerule keepInventory true. The game rule will be changed for your world.
Where are Gamerules saved?
Looking with NBTExplorer the gamerules seem to be in /LevelDat/Data/Gamerules. Just testing. You can open up the save with MCEdit and change some of your character’s NBT data, such as manually setting your health to max, or changing your invulnerability tag to true (and changing it back afterwards).
What is sendCommandFeedback?
sendCommandFeedback – Whether the feedback from commands executed by a player should show up in chat. Also affects the default behavior of whether command blocks store their output text.
Why does my game not save my games?
All user folders aren’t stored locally, they’re stored on a NAS, and directed using a policy. So the game data is actually trying to save here: Based on what files I can see in the directory, the game appears to SAVE games correctly, but fails to LOAD from that location.
Why are my gamerules not working in Minecraft?

If your game is missing your progress, check if your game is using Google Play Games, and make sure you’re signed in to the correct account.
