The totem you need is the Totem of Brotherhood. Once selected, and given the perks, it will replace your summoned wolves with Ice Wolves or Werewolves, Werewolves being the penultimate option.

After picking up the totem from a chest, if you do not speak to Aela and tell her that you have found the werewolf totem before leaving the cave or dungeon, she will disappear and you will not be able to place the Totem in the Underforge. Go back to Jorrvaskr and stay outside. Wait 24 hours, then enter Jorrvaskr.
What does each werewolf totem do?
Each Totem allows the Dragonborn to worship it in order to gain a new werewolf power.
How do I become a werewolf a second time?
In Dawnguard, if the Dragonborn is cured of Lycanthropy or becomes a Vampire Lord, they can talk to Aela and she can make them a werewolf again, canceling out vampirism. To become a Vampire Lord again, they need to ask Serana or Harkon (if sided with the vampires).

Can you use the ring of Hircine without being a werewolf?
The Ring of Hircine does not automatically make you a werewolf: it just grants you the ability to transform one additional time per day1, but only if you already have lycanthropy. The only way to contract lycanthropy is to seek out the Companions.
When do you get the Totems of hircine?

Can you get werewolf Totem if married to Aela?
If married to Aela, while traveling to Harmugstahl to get the werewolf totem, she may disappear and you will not be able to complete this quest. It is possible to fix this bug by waiting in Dragonsreach for 24 hours, but it does not always work.
What to do if you drop a totem in the underforge?
Aela will not give these quests while she is an active follower, though she will give Animal Extermination quests. If you have just dropped off a totem in the Underforge, Aela will be praying to it and only offer an Animal Extermination quest (dialogue option, “I’m looking for work” ). Leave the Underforge, return, then talk to Aela again.
Can you go into the underforge if you are a werewolf?
You can only trigger this quest if you are still a werewolf. If you have purified yourself, you are unable to do this quest. If Whiterun is under attack, you cannot enter the Underforge until Whiterun is back to normal. It will tell you a key is needed to enter and that it cannot be lockpicked.
