Can you use another Wizards spellbook?
One wizard cannot directly prepare spells from another wizard’s spellbook. The cost – of both gold and time – of copying spells into a wizard’s spellbook represents the time taken to decode the other wizard’s personal notation for their casting. For each level of the spell, the process takes 2 hours and costs 50 gp.
Is Order of the scribe good?
The final ability granted by the Order of Scribes is a fantastic defensive utility that can get you out of serious danger. If you take damage while your spellbook’s mind is manifested, you can prevent all of that damage to you by using your reaction to dismiss the spectral mind, using its magic to save yourself.
Can non Wizards copy spells?
In the Dungeon Master’s Guide there is no check and it does not rely on any specific skill: any character can make a scroll by spending time and gold in downtime to craft it. All spellcasters can craft and benefit from scrolls to expand what spells they have available without using up preparation limits or spell slots.
