But replay value has to be a delicate balance for players to keep coming back. Doing so provides replay value, builds long-term interest from gamers, and can also breed loyalty. This is good news for developers, who feel they’re on the right track in giving their audience games they’ll continue to enjoy.
Do games need replay value?
Variety in gameplay is not essential to replayability. Many arcade games, especially from the golden age of arcade games, are completely linear, yet people continue to play these games, even those that have been around for decades. A clear example can be seen in Tetris.
Is Botw replayable?

Is pacify replayable?
Gameplay and Replayability The core gameplay borrows some elements from horror games of the past while also adding a new twist that I’d never had to deal with before. Much like the Outlast series you cannot arm yourself. Your only option is to sprint as fast as you can and try not to corner yourself.
Is BoTW worth a second playthrough?
imo of all Zelda games, BotW is the one that most lends itself to replays, by far. The game is so open that you can do several playthroughs and they can all be drastically different. And you can make it even better by doing a challenge (one handed weapons only, two handed weapons only, Spears only, bows only etc.)
Is breath of the wild worth a second playthrough?
BoTW has the most replay value of any Zelda game to date IMO, its formula allows you to play in many different ways. I found my second play through to be almost as unique and amazing as the first by adding some specific rules and sticking to them.

The focus is less on collecting evidence, and more on surviving. Pacify also lacks the items and inventory Phasmophobia offers, and it doesn’t have the same variety of characters or ghost types. On the plus side, Pacify moves and feels a lot smoother. It’s also cheap.
Are Dark Souls games replayable?
It’s the Super Mario Bros 2 of Dark Souls. For me, DS2 is a different kind of replayable. In DS1, if you want to experiment with a different build or weapon, you probably have to start a new character and spend (at least) couple hours setting everything up, and that’s one kind of replayability.
