I would say that in one month you will probably be kind of used to it already, but it’s going to take a year or two before it really starts to feel completely natural. It took me about a month, but I switched to stick pretty early on.
Are fighting games easier with a stick?
I would not say that it’s easier to play fighting games with a stick, since learning how to play with a stick can take some times. But once I’ve learned the basics, it was super easy to go from games to games, learning and enjoying them. It’s definitely an investment, both in time and money, but not in vain in the end.
