General. All classes get two save proficiencies to start with, and can take the feat Resilient for a third. You can only take any given feat once, unless it explicitly allows taking it more than once (like Elemental Adept).
Do saving throws stack?
To reiterate: Bonuses of the same type do not stack. It doesn’t matter where the bonuses comes from or what conditions you met to get them, if they have the same type then they don’t stack.

- broadly speaking, int and cha are best, con is clearly worst.
- cha save effectiveness starts tanking around CR 15 though.
- str/dex/wis are all pretty comparable until CR 15-20, when wis starts falling behind.
