We did Death House in 3 1-hour sessions. It depends on how often your party does dungeon delves together or if they’re new to it.

Is death house worth playing?
Recommend you run Death House – it’s a brilliant, brilliant little adventure, and a great introduction to the campaign. It’s very dangerous as written, so you’ll have to decide (or more likely, talk to your players) about just how lethal you want the campaign to be. I loved everything I read on Death House for the DM.
What level should you be to fight Strahd?
I’d say level 8-9 depending on how hard you make the fight. Strahd alone with his default spells can be taken down by a level 7 party with the sunsword / Icon of ravenloft / holy symbol of ravenkind.
Is Strahd a God?
The Morninglord and Nightmother are not worshipped anywhere in Toril, and it is unknown if they are an ancient Barovian tradition, or simply the local interpretations of some of the classic deities. Some of the more desperate, evil or insane believe Strahd von Zarovich to be a god, such as the Druids of Yester Hill.
Is Strahd omniscient?
He’s far from omniscient but he’s got plenty of spies. Even when strahd doesn’t have what he needs to scry on the party directly he still gets info of what that party is doing. The general way I run things with Strahd is that he knows more than the party thinks he does.
Can Strahd enter houses?
Strahd will not enter houses, even though he possesses the ability to do so, because he owns the whole of the Baratok Valley. According to the Curse of Strahd campaign book, Strahd does possess the standard set of Vampire Weaknesses, which includes Forbiddance (cannot enter a residence without an invite).
What was Barovia called before Strahd?
It is a pocket dimension called the Demiplane of Dread, a collection of domains brought together by the mysterious “Dark Powers”. Each domain is ruled by a “Darklord”.
Are the people of Barovia real?
All up just about 1000 “persons” living in all of Barovia. Vistani in Barovia itself are about maybe 50 at absolute max between Vallaki and Tser Falls, but usually less.

What powers does Strahd have?

How does Strahd become a vampire?
History. In his youth, Strahd was a prince and a conqueror. The pact involved the murder of his brother Sergei von Zarovich so that Strahd could take Sergei’s wife Tatyana, with whom he had fallen madly in love. The pact inadvertently caused the suicide of Tatyana and ended up turning Strahd into a vampire.
