If you cast a spell with a casting time of 1 bonus action, that is the only circumstance in which you follow the rule on casting spells as a bonus action. Even then, you can cast two spells on one turn, but one of them must be a cantrip. (Cantrips are spells.)
Can cantrips be cast over and over?
No. Cantrips are spells, just like any other spell. There are 2 differences between a Cantrip and any other spell that has a level of 1 or higher: Cantrips can be cast on the same turn that a spell is cast using a bonus action.
Can a wizard cast 2 spells in one turn?
You can’t cast another spell during the same turn, except for a cantrip with a casting time of 1 action. So only spells with a casting time of “bonus actions” can be used as a bonus action (healing word, sanctuary and spiritual weapon are examples of this).
Are all cantrips bonus actions?
Yes. If you have a cantrip which you can cast as a bonus action, you may cast it after attacking. There are only a few cantrips which have a casting time of a bonus action.
How many spells can you cast in Baldur’s gate?
Dragon Disciples have one less spell ready to cast at each spell level to trade for other benefits. Sorcerers can reach level 9 in Baldur’s Gate: Enhanced Edition, level 11 in Siege of Dragonspear, level 17 in Shadows of Amn, level 31 in Throne of Bhaal and the Baldur’s Gate II: Enhanced Edition, and level 10 in The Black Pits.
Do you gain special power with a gate spell?
You gain no special power over the creature, and it is free to act as the GM deems appropriate. It might leave, attack you, or help you.
How many spells do you have per day?
Each class gets a number of spells slots to use per day. Both spells and spell slots have levels. When it comes time to cast a spell, you use up a spell slot that is the same level as the spell or higher. For example: your character has two 1st level Spell Slots, and one 2nd level Spell Slot. You want to cast Burning Hands, a 1st level Spell.
How big does a gate conjuration spell get?
You conjure a portal linking an unoccupied space you can see within range to a precise location on a different plane of existence. The portal is a circular opening, which you can make 5 to 20 feet in diameter. You can orient the portal in any direction you choose.
