Yes, it can. It’s an object, not a creature, and as a result, the rules regarding creatures and their speeds doesn’t apply to it. In general, spells and abilities do what they say they do, and as a result, yes, you can move the Echo through walls or into the air.
Can you manifest echo in the air?
The echo created by an Echo Knight doesn’t have a speed, and the knight can move the echo in any direction, including into the air. The echo can hang out wherever you move it.
Can you command an echo Knight to move?
The feature says you can command the echo to move but the echo is an object and doesn’t have any modes of movement or speed. We also have the unusual language “in any direction”. Normally this would mean that the echo, despite the commands, can’t move. Try to command a rock or a tree to move 10 feet up into the air, and see what result you get.
How does manifest echo work on an echo Knight?
The text under Manifest Echo states, “When you take the Attack action on your turn, any attack you make with that action can originate from your space or the echo’s space .” Some describe the Echo as simply a portal for the Knight’s own attacks. And as such, an Echo never really has a different weapon or attack capability from the Knight.
Is the Echo Knight as good as Misty step?
Not as good as Misty Step, but you can do it unlimited times. Also you can teleport 1000 feet and will only cost you 15 feet movement. This in fact does not work, the echo is solid like you, also you can’t summon it 1000 feet away, you can summon it 15 feet away, then you have to move it, you remove it 30 feet a round.
Can a Sentinel Knight apply to an echo Knight?
A: Yes, but only the first part of the Sentinel feat’s features applies. The second and third parts of the feat only apply to the Knight herself because of the wording “your reach”, and the wording of the Manifest Echo feature as it relates to the timing.
