Can you swim in heavy armor?
For the movement, the rules are in Chapter 8. Basically, armour or not, you need you spend 1 extra foot of movement while swimming unless you have a swimming speed. The rules for combat Underwater are in Chapter 9.
What strength do you need for heavy armor?

Can you swim in armor DND?
Your armor and encumbrance will have an uncontrolled affect on your swim speed and direction. An athletics (swim) check of DC equal to the character’s AC (without magic bonuses, but with disadvantage if armor gives the stealth disadvantage) will half this sinking movement.
How fast can Tritons Swim?

How hard is it to swim with armor?
You can’t swim in plate armour because it is so dense that it can’t displace more water than it weighs which is necessary to float. Same can be said for the armour, if you can swim hard enough you can make your way back to the surface.

What’s the weight of power armor in Terminator?
Although Power Armor would be much larger, and weigh much more than body armor, it wouldn’t be proportionately heavier, as it’s made of lighter materials than steel (futuristic ceramic composites, etc.) So, fully Power Armored Space Marine would be about a half-ton, and in Terminator Armor would be roughly 1,500 lbs.
How much weight does body armor really reduce?
One last thing I’d like to mention is a test I ran on how much armor reduced my cardiovascular endurance. For this test, I ran one mile three separate times; once without any plates, once with the approximate weight of level IV ceramic plates (~10 lbs) and once with the approximate weight of heavier steel plates (~20 lbs).
