At the former, Gears 3 ultimately succeeds, especially in its rich suite of multiplayer content. Even the singleplayer campaign somehow manages to feel fresh despite rather conservative changes and a palpable sense of deja-vu coloring the majority of the campaign. It’s not Gears of War and Peace, people!

Do you play Gears of war in order?
Yes, you should play them in order of release so 1, 2, 3 and Judgment, then 4 if you want the full Gears experience especially as Gears 5 is coming later this year. Gears 4 is deceivingly slow start on the campaign, which I suspect is intended for new players to get down with the mechanics.
Is it worth getting Gears of war 4?
The first 2 acts of gears 4 is all robot enemies. After that it gets so much better imo. Definitely. The Gears 1 Ultimate Edition is worth getting. It’s the same game remastered with new graphics. All 3 campaigns are amazing.
