All Light Armor perks are passive, meaning you don’t have to do anything extra to receive their benefits. Alteration does offer protection but you need to cast the spell first, which uses Magicka and only lasts for a limited time. Because of this, I would recommend going Light Armor.
Should I use heavy or light armor?
Perks like Muffled Movement (noise from armor is reduced by 50%) can help a bit, but never fully make heavy armor more viable than light for sneaking. Therefore, if you’re using a sneak archer or assassin build, light armor is definitely the way to go.
Can mages wear light armor?
These were robes so they have no armor rating. As far as I know the alteration perk “Mage Armor” is the only reason for a mage to not wear armor, perhaps with the exception of your sneaking suffering, but I always roll light armor.
Is there mage armor in Skyrim?
Mage Armor denotes a perk and corresponding spells from the Alteration School of Magic in The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim. Serving as Skyrim’s counterpart of the Shield spell from previous titles, Mage Armor spells boost the armor class of the caster and may be dual-casted.
Can you use mage armor on yourself?
Yes. That’s the intended use of the spell, in most cases – giving an arcane spellcaster some kind of armor, since they don’t usually get real armor proficiency.
Which is better alteration or light armor in RuneScape?
Alteration seems to have cooler perks and isn’t as redundant as Light Armor to my hero, yet I still can’t decide whether it’s a viable choice for a Thief. You know – evil Dark Brotherhood killer can use it, but Thieves guild members aren’t exactly known for their skill in magic.
What’s the difference between light armor and heavy armor?
Both skill trees have parallels with each other when it comes to perks. For instance, Reflect Blows is a perk available for the Heavy Armor tree, and it has a 10% chance of reflecting damage, whereas the Light Armor tree has Deft Movement, which gives you a 10% chance of avoiding damage.
Which is the best perk for light armor?
The best perks in the Light Armor tree include Wind Walker (stamina regenerates 50% faster in all light armor) and Deft Movement (10% of avoiding all damage).
Which is better, silent magic or light armor?
There is no point going all that way as a battlemage to start learning archery now (unless your at a high archery level already) Using silent magic for the dark brotherhood will be dam good work, and for the thieves guild, you wont really be fighting at all (opinion) due to stealing most of the time.
